Beaumont police have identified the man killed in an early morning motorcycle crash on Calder Avenue near Goodhue as 42-year-old Rashaad Coleman of Beaumont.
According to investigators, the fatal accident occurred shortly after dawn when Coleman was traveling along Calder Avenue on his motorcycle. For reasons that remain under investigation, the motorcycle reportedly left the roadway and collided with a tree near the intersection of Calder Avenue and Goodhue. Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of the crash, but Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about what may have caused the motorcycle to veer off the roadway. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, including road conditions, speed, and whether any other factors may have contributed to the deadly accident.
